This is a 16 hour class covered over two days

Introduction and Course Objectives:

 1) The primary issue of this training course is officer safety, civilian safety and suspect safety.

Facts: Some officers are killed or injured at the breaching point of a forced entry.

Facts : Most tactical units, swat, narcotics, fugitive apprehension, gangs etc. are not  well trained in the utilization of manual breaching tools.

The students will become proficient in the use of breaching tools on a secured security door and inner door. He/she will also learn to conduct a safe method of a rake and break on windows as a diversion for officer safety and preservation of evidence. The law and policies will be reviewed as so the search warrant will be valid if challenged in court.

At the conclusion of this course, every student will be an expert with the breaching tools.

2) Range Safety Rules & Medical Evacuation

3) Introduction, Nomenclature, and practical use of the breaching tools (demonstrated by instructor).

4)  Students will conduct breaching on security doors until proficient with every tool.

5)  Break and rake techniques on windows and sliding glass doors. Window entry considerations
and tactics.

6)  Dry practice and live fire breach and entry tactics on shooting house.

7) Debrief
